What format do your books come in?
We currently offer books in digital ePub format, mp3 audiobook, and in the future, hardcover.

Why are some books only available in certain formats?
Which formats a book is published in is chosen by the author.

What is Grower?
Sometimes books can grow over time, for example it might go through revisions, or perhaps the author is waiting to add elements later, such as illustrations. Because of this if you have purchased a digital copy of a book that is part of the Grower Program, and the book gets a future update, simply provide your transaction information and we will subtract what you already paid from the new version. This means if the new version is the same price, you can get the updated version when it comes out for free!

Do you take a commission?
Yes. Our current rate is 15% of sales.

What costs are taken from the sales?
The only cost taken from sales is our commission. The remainder is yours. That means you earn 85% of the listed price for each sale.

When will I receive the money from my sales?
We can pay out on a monthly or semimonthly (1st and 15th) basis once it has reached a minimum of $20. If you choose to close your account we will pay out any remaining earnings you have.

Why do some books have a different publisher listed?
If an author submits a book that has been published through a different company that allows the author to distribute it through other platforms, we leave the listing as-is at the author's request.

Do you endorse the views expressed in the books you sell?
No. In order to be as inclusive as possible we do not prohibit books based on the views expressed within.
Publishing
What sort of books will you publish?
As long as it meets a certain level of quality and complies with the terms of use, we are open to any genre or style. In other words, we won't publish your grocery list from last week, but research papers, poetry, novels, manuals, and even art books are welcome.
Why is there a limit on file size?
Our default processing fee is to cover storage costs for your book. Larger files require more storage and will cost more. If you have a large book you'd like published, please contact us and we can discuss pricing.

What if my book is not in epub format?
Unfortunately for security reasons we are only able to accept book files in the epub format at this time.
Services
How do I purchase different services for my book?
In the future we plan on having them purchasable through the services page. For now just contact us and specify which services you'd like.
How come the voice actor/illustrator I wanted to use isn't available anymore?
If a specific service person is listed as unavailable it means they aren't accepting work at this time. You can keep checking back regularly for updates, or subscribe to notifications and we'll let you know.
